Tasha Nicole Morin, our beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend, passed away Monday morning, Oct. 12, 2015, in Boise. A celebration of Tasha's life will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Historic Opera Theatre in Glenns Ferry. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.

Tasha was born Feb. 4, 1974, at Elmore Memorial Hospital in Mountain Home, Idaho, to Santiago (Jim) Morin and Deb Watkins Morin. She was a beautiful five-pound bundle with lots of black hair.

Her parents divorced in 1976. Tasha was raised in Glenns Ferry. She was a fifth generation Glenns Ferryian, and very proud of that fact. Before attending kindergarten, Tasha spent most of her days with her grandmother, Peggy Watkins, while Deb worked. Peggy taught Tasha to read and gave her lifelong love of books.

Tasha attended 12 grades of schooling in Glenns Ferry. She loved her school and all it had to offer. She was intelligent, and spent most of her elementary years in the Gifted and Talented program. Her teachers never had a bad word to say about her work or behavior.

Her biggest passion of school life was sports. She had her grandfather's, Rocky Watkins, and her Dad's DNA in that area.

She began playing sports in elementary and it lasted her lifetime. Basketball, Junior High football, track and softball. She was good at what she did, gave it her all, and had several awards and medals in her possession.

She was a die-hard Glenns Ferry Pilot. She also served as Homecoming Princess of her sophomore class.

After graduation, Tasha packed her things without hesitation and drove herself to LaGrande, Ore., to attend college. Her other passion in life was to be a Librarian, like her grandmother Peggy's best friend, Norma Severson, the school's librarian.

Her college life was cut short as she chose to move to Indonesia with Rocky and Peggy, where Rocky had a job. It was an adventure of a lifetime for Tasha and she lived it to the fullest.

After returning from Indonesia, she once again packed up and moved to Spokane with her mom's sister, Janet. A few years later, she returned to Idaho, settling in Boise. She worked at many jobs, and FINALLY landed her dream job, librarian assistant with Boise City Libraries.

She loved that job with all her heart. She also went back to school and just recently earned her AA degree and was in the process of earning her bachelor's.

Tasha's mom remarried when Tasha was six years old. She then gained a second Dad, Bill Schumacher, and family that loved her as their own. Bill and Tasha had a very special bond. If she had troubles, it was he she called.

She also gained a baby brother at 7, Gabriel. She was so excited, and insisted on holding him on the way home from the hospital. They loved each other unconditionally.

Her grandparents were her life. She loved Rocky and Peggy beyond words. She always wore the beanies Peggy crocheted for her. Her grandfather was her Rock. Always. He never judged, and gave her what she needed, whatever it may be.

She also loved her Schumacher grandparents, and they her. She was a very loved girl. This is evident by the thousands of friends she had worldwide. That is not an exaggeration. She was a very highly social person and loved people. She had life-long friends.

She drug people home that needed help. She drug people home to show them where she grew up because she was proud. She drug kitties home.

Tasha is survived by her mom, Deb Schumacher; her Dads, Jim Morin and Bill Schumacher; her brother, Gabe Schumacher; her maternal grandparents, Kenneth (Rocky) and Peggy Watkins, all from Glenns Ferry; paternal grandparents, Rebecca Longoria of Glenns Ferry; William and Shirley Schumacher, Hammett, favorite aunts, Janet Watkins Good, Juanita Morin Presnell, Mary Morin Treasure, Shawna Schumacher; her favorite uncles, Juan Morin, Rey Morin, Benny Morin, Gary Treasure, Wayne Presnell; her loving nephews, Tyler and Mason Schumacher, and the love of her life, Nayeli.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Roy and Gladys Watkins, Joe and Othello Brown and Walt and Lila Schumacher; grandfathers Alfredo Morin and Bernabe Longoria; great-grandmother Martina Morin and great-grandparents John and Catherine Urbeck.

Tasha, Tashie, TashaWasha, Squasha, Taco, Tooshie... you were the love of my life. You were so funny, witty, intelligent...

Dearest God, I will miss you. My heart is broken. Rest easy, my baby girl. I loved you
