Jim L. Hendershot (Shot/Hard Sarge) beloved husband, father, papa, and friend passed away on Sept. 30, 2015, due to complications from a long, hard fight with pancreatic cancer. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, located in Mountain Home.

Jim moved to Alconbury AFB, England in 1980 where he began his military career as firefighter. While in Alconbury, he met his wife, Rhonda, who at the time was also a U.S. Air Force firefighter.

In May 1984, they introduced their son, Jimmy L. Henderdershot III, to the world. That same year, they moved from England to Myrtle Beach AFB, S.C. While in South Carolina, they brought their daughter, Jessica, into the world in October 1988.

A few years later, they moved to Mountain Home AFB, where after 20 years of service, Jim finished his military career. He later worked at Micron, Three Springs and The City of Mountain Home Water Department. He started his career with fire and ended in water.

Jim loved hunting, fishing, bird watching, flying planes and gold prospecting. However, his greatest passions were RC cars, RC planes, RC boats and spending time with his family. He was a great friend, supervisor and mentor to many people.

Jim is survived by his wife (bestie), Rhonda, son Jimmy (Lacey), daughter Jessica Reynolds (Joshua), father Jim Sr., sister Debbie and four grandchildren, Taylor, Lyla, Tyson, and Lorelei. He was preceded in death by his mother.
