Local farmers market event highlights state observance

A proclamation from Idaho Govenor C. L. "Butch" Otter earlier month led to a commemorative event at the Mountain Home Farmers Market.

During an informal gathering, representatives from the local group of farmers, artists and merchants presented a gift basket to one of its regular customers in conjunction with the Idaho Farmers Market Week, which ran from Aug. 2 to 8.
