Yearly Basque picnic scheduled for Aug. 8

The Oinkari Dancers will highlight the evening's cultural activities during this year's Basque picnic, scheduled for Aug. 8 at the Basque Park in Mountain Home. Celebrating its 55th anniversary here, the celebration will follow the international Jailadi festival in Boise.

People from Mountain Home and surrounding communities will relive the traditions, culture and language of the Basque people during an annual festival Aug. 8.

Organizers will hold the community's 55th Annual Basque Picnic at Basque Park next to the Bengeochea Hotel.
