Amanda Stone

Monday, July 20, 2015

On Thursday, July 16, 2015, the angels called Amanda Ruth Taylor Stone home. Amanda, age 23, was of Englewood, Colo., and formerly of Mountain Home.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, located at 500 North 18th East St., in Mountain Home. Please dress casually, and wear your jeans and cowboy boots if you have them.

Amanda was born Feb. 24, 1992, in Nurenberg, Germany. She loved horses so much that often she preferred them to people. There was never a horse she was afraid to jump on and ride.

Amanda loved children, especially her niece and nephew, and always hoped for a big family of her own.

If music was playing, she was singing as loud as she could, as those of you who went to Charlie's on Karaoke night knew! And no rubber duck was safe; it would always end up in her collection, and if it had any camo on it, she grabbed it right up! She is greatly missed.

Amanda is survived by her parents, Liz (Myers) Taylor and SGM John E. Taylor, U.S. Army (retired); her brother, John, and his children, Sebastian and Olivia; her aunt, Lorry and uncle Kevin Parrish; her aunt, Christine Myers; her uncle, Eddy and aunt Anna Scherrer; and numerous cousins in Idaho, Minnesota and Germany. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents Carl and Ruth Myers and Johnny Taylor.
