BLM crews battle three range fires across county

A BLM helicopter drops water to contain the Barry Fire northwest of Glenns Ferry. The fire scorched more than 300 acres before it was contained on Friday.

The Bureau of Land Management contained the third in a series of range fires that scorched nearly 3,000 acres of range land across Elmore County.

The first fire began around 10:30 a.m. July 9 and burned more than 300 acres of land about seven miles northwest of Glenns Ferry.
