Idaho Waste Systems presents grants to local groups

The Elmore County grant committee recently awarded more than $50,000 to local organizations, senior centers and high school students under three different grants.

These grants were the result of a 1997 mitigation agreement between the county and Idaho Waste Systems, Inc. when the company opened a 640 acre landfill on Simco Road in western Elmore County.
