Ms. Ruffing's response at the town hall meeting was more a deflection than an explanation. She seems not to understand that once you hold a public office, anything you say or write is no longer private. She basically said that if you do not support the Y and the WECRD, then you do not support the town. Foul on her part. The Guptills have done many great things for this town and Ms. Ruffing owes them a public apology at the very least.

  • Would like to see the WECRD dissolved, and the money that has been collected so far, put to use elsewhere. Initially, this was a great idea and I was all for it. Then I thought that once the Y got involved that FINALLY something would happen. Unfortunately, I don't believe this idea will EVER get going. I'm tired of paying for something that the WECRD keeps promising but cannot produce. Fool me once.........well, I'm sure you know how the saying goes.........
