BLM, local fire crews battle pair of small range fires

Fire crews mop up following a brush fire June 24 off Old Highway 30, which officials believe was triggered by a piece of lawn equipment.

With the temperatures across southern Idaho reaching into the triple digits in recent days, local fire crews were called in to battle two brush fires.

The first range fire began around 4:15 p.m. June 24 just off Old Highway 30 about a mile east of Hamilton Road with crews quickly controlling the blaze.
