Peter Welch

Peter Allen Welch, age 84 of Mountain Home, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at a Mountain Home care center. Per his request, no services will be held. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

Peter was born on April 26, 1931, in Exeter, N.H., the son of Fred and Ruth Welch.

Peter and his wife, Yvette, came to Mountain Home in the late 1960s. Peter served and retired after 20 years from the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Axtell painted and then worked for Union Pacific Railroad, retiring after 20 years.

He enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, hunting and just being in the great outdoors. Peter and his wife also enjoyed feeding the birds, squirrels and all the stray animals that came through their yard.

Peter is survived by his wife, Yvette, his sister, Lois Morgan of New Mexico, and several dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
