St. Luke's Elmore plans to expand hospital

The emergency department and other departments are expected to expand under a plan currently being pursued by officials at the St. Luke's Elmore medical center in Mountain Home.

Plans to expand the St. Luke's Elmore Medical Center complex in Mountain Home gained an initial go-ahead after the city planning and zoning commission voted in favor of the project.

The decision regarding the medical center's conditional use permit follows a public hearing held May 18 in which the commission heard from the public and received answers regarding the project from the planners.
