The Mountain Home Tigers finished fourth overall during a boys conference golf match at Falconcrest Golf Course on April 27.

Bishop Kelly and Skyview tied for first with 149 team totals. Middleton was four strokes back at 153. Mountain Home shot a 182 that was three shots ahead of Kuna's 185. Caldwell was a stroke back at 186.

Jake Egusquiza and Marcus Egusquiza both shot a 40, which placed them in a five-way tie for 10th place and were five shots behind the leader. Mike Hoskins came in with a 49, Jared Balderidge shot a 53 and Cole Garrett carded a 54.

The Mountain Home team went on to finish fourth overall during this year's District III 4A Golf Tournament on May 4 at Red Hawk Golf Course near Nampa. The Tigers finished the tournament with 340, trailing Bishop Kelly, which carded a 288.

Skyview came in second with a 297 while Middleton rounded out the top three with a 306.

Marcus Egusquiza led the Mountain Home team with a 79. Jake Egusquiza finished with an 81 for the day while Mike Hoskins carded an 89.

Cole Garrett finished with 91 and Jared Baldridge trailed by eight strokes with 99.

"I'm very happy to report that Cole, Mike and Jared had their best competition rounds," said high school golf coach. Bob Ebbs. "We were a young team this year with only one senior.

Others attending the tournament were Willow Freer, who carded a 90 to post her best round of the season. Meanwhile, Mattie Bennett finished with a 108, which was also her season's best.

With only two girls on the Mountain Home team, they were unable to compete for a title this year, which was unfortunate, Ebbs said. Middleton won the girls' competition with 347 with Bishop Kelly trailing by 13 strokes to finish second overall.

The top two teams and top seven golfers advanced to the state golf tournament.
