Mountain Home's track and field team qualified six girls and three boys to this week's state championships at Donna Larson Park in Boise.

Mountain Home sophomore Alexandera Tatum was the big winner at last week's district event, winning the triple jump with a record leap of 36 feet, six inches. Tatum finished second in the 100-meter dash and the long jump and was a part of the Mountain Home 4X 100 meter relay team that finished first. Tatum will compete in all four events at state.
