Community group to host yearly softball tournament

The tournament raises funds to help those in the community in various stages of recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.

The Elmore County Friends for Recovery, in conjunction with the Elmore County Drug and DUI Court, will host the Fourth Annual The Good, The Bad and the Authority Softball Tournament on May 16 at Optimist Park.

In 2012, a participant in the county drug and DUI court helped organize the sporting event to help build the bridges between participants and local law enforcement, organizers said.
