Track & field team places at Skyview

The Mountain Home girls and boys track squads both finished ninth at Friday's Skyview Invitational Track meet at Skyview High School in Nampa.

Rigby won the girls competition, scoring 135 points. Emmett was second with 90, right ahead of Skyview's 88.5. Fourth place went to Vale, Ore., Jerome was fifth, Columbia finished sixth, Weiser was seventh while Century finished eighth,

Mountain Home scored 26.33 points at the meet with 15 teams competing in the girls events.

Alexandera Tatum led the Mountain Home girls. The sophomore had seconds in both the long jump and triple jump and a fifth place in the 100 meters. Tatum, along with Whitney Sandberg, Yuridia Ayala and Keyondra White, finished fifth in the 4 X 100 meter relay.

Mountain Home's 4 X 200 meter relay team of Whitney Sandberg, Lexi Ogaard, Yuridia Ayala and Keyondra White finished sixth. White also finished in a three-way tie for eighth in the long jump.

Rigby also won the boys competition, racking up 152.62 points. Skyview was second, Emmett finished third, Jerome was fourth, Weiser came in fifth, Century was sixth, Minico finished seventh and Nyssa, Ore., came in eighth. Mountain Home scored 23.12 to finish ninth out of the 16 teams competing in the boys events.

Mountain Home's points came from a second-place finish by Eric Reetz in the 300 meter hurdles, a third-place effort by Dallin Dearing in the discus and a sixth place by Anthony DeSantis in the 3,200 meter run. Meanwhile, Nolan Pasqualetti was in an eight-place tie for eighth in the high jump.

The Tigers 4 X 400 meter relay team of Jordan Kline-Walden, Ramon Gonzalez, Connor Weygint and Abrahan Salas finished sixth. The Tigers sprint medley relay team of Will Weygint, Connor Weygint, Ramon Gonzalez and Abrahan Salas finished seventh, and the Tigers 4 X 200 meter relay team of Eric Reetz, Chris Wright, Jacob Ryan and Mitch Aguirre finished eighth.

The Tigers have two meets this week. Today, April 29, they compete at the Last Chance Meet at Tiger Field and head to Caldwell on Friday for the Moke Strong Invitational.
