John Kelley

Beloved father and friend John Ames Kelley, age 66, passed away suddenly albeit peaceably April 22, 2015, in the early morning hours. He was an infectiously friendly man, capable of making friends in all walks of his colorful life.

Fiercely proud of his military career, he served the U.S. Army as an active duty soldier for four years and as a civil servant 31 years.

John is survived by his fiancée, Louise Smith, and four daughters, Kristy, Melissa, Jessica and Rachel as well as six grandchildren. His deep fascination of mechanics lead to a love of engines of all types, rebuilding Harleys in his spare time and fixing tanks on the clock.

A celebration of his life will be held at his home at 992 West 4th North in Mountain Home. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the local Veterans Association.
