Leads sought in stabbing incident

City police are continuing to investigate a stabbing incident involving a 21-year-old Mountain Home man.

Officers responded to South 5th East Street around 9:30 p.m. that evening where they saw the individual lying in the roadway.

The victim told police he was stabbed after he was attacked by three men, all wearing black clothing. No other description was provided.

Officers reported that the man sustained what appeared to be a stab wound on the left side of his chest. The victim was flown by helicopter to a Boise area hospital, where he remains in stable condition. His identity is being withheld at this time.

Investigators do have a person of interest in the case. However, an arrest has not been made at this time.

According to information gathered in the ongoing investigation, investigators don't believe that the public is in any way at risk.
