Lorelei (Lory) D. Mullen, age 51 of Mountain Home, passed away at her home on Friday, April 24, 2015, following an illness. At Lory's request, there will be no service. Cremation is under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.

Lory was born Oct. 2, 1963, the daughter of George Leonard Burnside and Eva Darlene Baldwin. Lory was born and raised in the San Mateo, Calif., area. She was a vibrant person that embraced all life had to offer.

She was active in many things outdoors to include raising and showing German Shorthair Pointers, days at the beach, fishing, gardening, hunting and camping.

She met and fell in love with her first husband, David Wriglesworth (1983), and together they raised two young men, Kyle and Adam. As David was in the USAF, they moved a few times living in Knob Noster, Mo., and Indian Springs Nev.

Upon David's separation from the USAF, they relocated back to the San Mateo, Calif., area, but work took them to Spring Creek, Nev. Here, Lory spent her time raising her boys and finding a passion with horses.

She began to raise and show horses, winning several ribbons. She also coached a local youth football team to an undefeated season as the head coach. Lory's lifelong commitment to the San Francisco 49ers displayed itself every football season.

David and Lory parted ways, and Lory later met and married her current husband, William Mullen. They blended two families into one loving family. Lory accepted William's two children, William R. and Erin, into her life like they were her own.

Lory relocated to Mountain Home early in 2000 and quickly fell in love with the town and the citizens. Lory worked several jobs in her lifetime to include fast food worker, waitress, 911 Dispatcher and several positions on Mountain Home AFB.

Her last position and the one she loved the most was as Family Advocacy Program Assistant. Here, she was able to apply many of the skills she learned while earning her Bachelors in Social Psychology from Park University in 2006.

Lory's greatest passions in life were her country, her sons and all of her family. Lory was a central support during several base deployments overseas, coordinating care packages and communicating with families.

She recently became active with American Legion Post 26 and the Ladies Auxiliary and was elected President for 2014. She was able to fulfill two lifelong dreams in the last few years.

First, she began riding a motorcycle on her own which she thought she could never do and took trips most weekends on it. Second, she was able to be present at the birth of her first grandchild, Madelyn Grace Wriglesworth (2014). Besides the birth of her sons, this was the greatest event in her life. She was adventurous, she stood her ground and spoke her mind.

Lory is survived by her husband William B. Mullen of Mountain Home; sons Kyle Wriglesworth (Alecia), of Cadiz, Ky., and Adam of Cheney, Wash.; granddaughter Madelyn Grace, step children William R. Mullen of Fort Leavenworth, Kan., and Erin Ariel (Derek) of Mountain Home; grandson Brendan Jules; her sister Cristina Burnside of Phoenix, Ariz., and several aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by both her parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to either Relay for Life of Elmore County or the American Cancer Society.

Lory asked everyone to remember her favorite Bible verse, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13
