Ranger district officials close two mountain trails

A flash flood in late 2014 moved two bridges on the Roaring River trail. Debris pushed both bridges downstream by nearly a half mile.

The Mountain Home Ranger District temporarily closed the Roaring River and William Pogue National Recreation Trails due to significant storm damage.

Portions of the trail located in Elmore County were completely washed out with significant amounts of rock, burnt timber and mud eliminating the trail head.
