Making the Easter dash...

Wednesday, April 8, 2015

Children make a dash across Carl Miller Park during the annual Community Easter Egg Hunt Sunday afternoon. Sponsored each year by Sabre Lodge No. 7, Free and Accepted Prince Hall Masons, hundreds of older children packed into the city park in hopes of collecting their share of eggs with separate areas set aside next to East Elementary School for younger children as well as those with disabilities.

Organizers spread 1,800 hard-boiled and plastic eggs across the park with children swooping down and collecting all of them within a matter of seconds.

Tyler Brauer gets a boost from his mother as he grabs a few eggs placed on top of the fireplace in the center of the park.
