Marilyn Holley

Marilyn Ruth Holley, age 77 of Mountain Home, passed away in her sleep on Sunday, March 8, 2015, at her home. A graveside inurnment will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

She was born on July 10, 1937, in Payette, Idaho, to Elmo and Ruth Chadd. Marilyn grew up in Nyssa, Ore., and there she met the love of her life, John Holley. They were wed on March 12, 1954, and were married 60 years.

John was serving his country in the U.S. Air Force, where they traveled the world, including England, the Philippines and returned to Mountain Home, where they resided for the last 45 years. In 1961, they had their only son, Jeff.

Marilyn was an awesome mother who was very involved in many of Jeff's activities. She loved woodworking and toll painting.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, John of Mountain Home, and her son, Jeff of Boise. She was preceded in death by her father, mother and only sister, Sherrill Shannon.
