Kenneth Henley Dillingham passed peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015.

He is survived by his wife and partner of 35 years, Lina; his children, Kenneth Dillingham Jr. and Anthony Jones of California; Serena and Zeb Smith of Colorado; Karen and Ryan Coulter of Arizona; Jessica and Theodore Dillingham of Michigan; and grandchildren Chloe, Ila, Granite, Anza and Camille; his loving siblings Catherine Carlson of Hawaii and Theodore Dillingham of California; and his nieces nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Dillingham Jr. and Mary Cooke Dillingham.

Kenny was an avid outdoorsman, loving his career spent raising cattle on Mokuleia Ranch and Keauhou Ranch in Hawaii and Hot Springs Ranch in Idaho. His love of the outdoors lead to learning tracking and participating with the Idaho County Sheriff's Posse for search and rescue and The American Mountain Men, Rendezvous Reenactment.

He would go for horseback rides with his son, Theo, and friends into the wilds of the Rocky Mountains for weeks, outfitted like the mountain men of the early 1800s. He loved the peace and the challenges presented by the great outdoors.

He was born on the Island of Oahu in Hawaii and learned to fish, surf and hunt there and on the Big Island and Molokai. On the islands, he learned horseback riding, saddle making and raising cattle in the traditional Paniolo style.

He also completed degrees in agriculture and traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture. His love of the outdoors was only topped by his love of family and friends. He will be remembered, loved and missed by all.

Memorial services to be held at a later date. Please send e-mail condolences and Memorial inquiry's to AlohaKennyDillingham@yahoo.com.
