Civil rights leader honored at prayer event

Former Mayor Joe McNeal is joined by members of Mountain Home's Black History committee as they present a statue to Bruce Wong during this year's Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. prayer breakfast. Wong, the director of the Ada County Highway District, served as the guest speaker during Saturday's event.

The legacy of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his call for Americans to serve others lived on during a yearly event held in his memory.

People gathered the Elk's Lodge in Mountain Home on Saturday during this year's prayer breakfast.
