Auction scheduled for former youth center building

For the second time since 2009, city officials will attempt to sell the former Mountain Home Youth Center building.

In a unanimous vote Oct. 14, the city council agreed to schedule an auction for 5 p.m. Nov. 10 in hopes of finding a buyer for the single-story facility.

Located at 130 North Main Street, the building has remained closed since early June after asbestos and other hazardous materials were uncovered during a large-scale renovation project.
