Bubble soccer

The soccer play wasn't bad, but getting back up was a trick.

The Military Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Commerce sponsored a "bubble soccer" tournament Saturday at Legacy Park. The event featured a number of teams competing throughout the day, with players wrapped in plastic bubble cocoons.

The bubble wrap not only prevent players from getting hurt, it offered some chuckles to spectators when the players bumped into each other, knocking one or both down, and often taking a minute or two to right themselves and get back into action.

The 366th Equipment Maintenance Squadron on base, "The Bubble Bashers," won the tournament.
