School should start after Labor Day

Dear editor:

I think that our school district should move the day school starts till after Labor Day.

I think it should be after Labor Day because before Labor Day is the hottest time of the year. You can save money on air conditioning. It's really hot if you have to walk home from school.

It's the time of year that you want to be swimming or up in the mountains with your family! My family thinks it's important to have family time. It is really easy to do that while you're in nature.

Another reason is all of the other schools start after Labor Day. If you have a sibling in college it is harder to plan vacation time when you're in school and they are not.
