Karen Lee Martin passed away on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Sept. 25, at The Meridian Cemetery, 895 E. Franklin Rd., in Meridian. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

Karen was born in Portland, Ore., on Dec. 6, 1942, to Marshall and Ernestine Martin.

The family moved back to Idaho, where she married Charles Leon Martin on Jan. 28, 1962. They had two children, Brenda and Charles.

Karen worked for U.S. Bank for over 17 years in Mountain Home and Boise.

She love to spend time making quilts, visiting with her quilting group and looked to forward to her annual quilt show and Oregon coast trip with her daughter, Brenda.

She also enjoyed gardening, water aerobics at the YMCA and reminiscing about growing up in Fruitvale and Stibnite, Idaho.

Karen Lee is survived by: her daughter, Brenda, and her husband, Michael Stoecker; son Charles and his wife, Shellie Martin; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and brother Jerry (Wanda) Martin.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
