Lillian D. Smith, 91, of Mountain Home, passed away on Saturday, Sept.13, 2014, at a Mountain Home care center.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Cremation was under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.

Lillian was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on June 2, 1923, and grew up in Trenton, Ontario.

She moved to California in 1965 where she lived until 1996 when she moved to Klamath Falls, Ore. In May of 2013, she moved to Mountain Home to live with her daughter, Dianne Childress.

Lillian worked as a bookkeeper most of her life. In later years she worked at K-Mart.

After a fall, Lillian moved into Aaron Brooke/Ashley Manor. In the year she lived there she made several new friends. The family would like to thank all the staff at Aaron Brooke and Ashley Manor for the excellent care Lillian received while she was a resident there.

Lillian is survived by two daughters, Leslie Joan Loft of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, and Dianne Childress of Mountain Home. She has four grandchildren, Ed Waggoner (wife Michelle) of Bakersfield, Calif., Jennifer Waggoner Georgianna (husband Steve) of McKinleyville, Calif., Janet Waggoner Webb (husband Dalvin) of Mountain Home and Peter Rice (wife Melanie) of Amherstview, Ontario, Canada. She leaves behind six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Emma Plummer, and her brothers, Harry, Edward, Leslie and Buster.
