Patricia Dolores Dinwiddie was born on Feb. 13, 1930, in Tacoma, Wash., to Steven and Ellie McCormick. She died in Boise, Idaho on Aug. 24, 2014, at the age of 84, following complications of surgery.

Pat's childhood was spent living in various cities in Washington before the family moved to Los Angeles, where she attended Immaculate Heart High School.

She obtained her nursing degrees through Mount San Antonio College and Redland University. She worked in many nursing capacities during her 30 years of nursing.

It was during her college years that Pat met her husband, Mack, and they celebrated their 63rd year of marriage this year.

Pat and Mack started their family in Pomona, California where their three children were born, Kathy, Kevin and Craig. Soon afterward, the family moved to Banning, Calif., where Pat and Mack raised their family.

In later years, Pat and Mack moved to Fallon, Nev., for six years before moving to Glenns Ferry, Idaho, where they have spent the last 23 years.

Pat has been very active in the Catholic Church in Glenns Ferry, as well as serving as a substitute nurse and substitute teacher and numerous activities in her community. She enjoyed staying active, but her most memorable time was spent with her family and pets.

She is survived by: her husband, Mack; her sons, Kevin (Lisa) and Craig; and her brother, Jim (Sharon) McCormick; granddaughters Katie Riskey (Kenneth) of Grand Junction, Colo., and Dr. Lainie Dinwiddie of Irvine, Calif.; and her three great-grandchildren, Karissa, Kailey and Keenan Riskey.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Kathy.

A mass will be celebrated in Pat's honor at the Catholic Church in Glenns Ferry on Sept. 3 at 11 a.m. and there will be a private service at the Veterans Cemetery in Boise, Idaho.

In lieu of flowers, Pat requested that donations be made to the Cancer Society: www.cremationsociety-idaho.com.
