A busy week of soccer saw the Mountain Home Tiger boys soccer team pick up one of each, as far as wins, losses and ties go.

Jerome 6, Mountain Home 0

The Jerome Tigers scored three goals in each half Tuesday on their way to a 6-0 non-conference win over Mountain Home at Eastside Park in Mountain Home.

Mountain Home had several scoring attempts, but could not get any goals through the net.

Jorge Salinas had 15 saves on goal for Mountain Home.

"We played pretty well at times," said Mountain Home boys soccer coach Mike Torres after the game. "We definitely have some areas we need to work on, so we'll go back to work tomorrow and try to improve."

Mountain Home 1, Columbia 0

Mountain Home picked up its first win of the season Thursday, shutting out the Wildcats from Columbia at Eastside Park in Mountain Home.

Juan Torres scored Mountain Home's lone goal off an assist by Alex Dominguez.

Jorge Salinas had four saves.

Coach Torres was pleased with the win.

"We played really well and the boys stepped up after two difficult losses and pulled out a win," the coach said

Twin Falls 1, Mountain Home 1

Mountain Home battled to a 1-1 tie with the Twin Falls Bruins Friday in Twin Falls.

Alex Dominguez scored Mountain Home's goal off an assist by Jesus Araujo. Jorge Salinas had six saves for the Mountain Home squad.

"It was a good battle," said Coach Torres regarding the Twin Fall game. "Two evenly-matched teams. I think we had the advantage, but to be honest with you, the boys were just tired, with three games in one week, it's pretty brutal on these boys, but both teams had to play three games, so there's no excuses. It was a good battle and we can't be disappointed with them, but it's a tie and we're looking to improve from here on out."

The Tigers, now 1-2-1 on the season, have another busy week, as they traveled to Jerome on Tuesday before heading to Middleton on Thursday to open conference play. Mountain Home then has a rematch with Twin Falls on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Eastside Park.
