Stage 1 fire restrictions lifted in Owyhee County

The wildfire danger has lessened in the Owyhee Mountains, prompting the Bureau of Land Management to rescinded Stage 1 Fire Restrictions on BLM managed lands on areas of the Boise District and the Jarbridge Field Office within all of Owyhee County and south of the Snake River.

Stage 1 restrictions remain in place in Elmore County for that area north of the Snake River and south of I-84. In addition, a county-wide burn ban remains in effect.

Pubic should remember to use caution while recreating on public lands in Idaho. Although wildfire danger has lessened the potential for human caused ignitions still exists.
