Sharon Orme

Sharon Jennie Orme, of Ortonville, Mich.; died July 9, 2014, at her home, surrounded in love with her husband and children by her side. She was 65.

She was born July 10, 1948, in Binghamton, N.Y., to the late Donald and Jenny Margaret (nee: Lidy) Larnerd Sr.

She is survived by: her loving husband, Gary Orme; one daughter, Sabra (Anthony) Dettore; one son, Shane Parker; three grandchildren, Samantha and Brendan Dettore and Christopher Parker; three brothers, Howell, Donald "Butch" and Robert (Vicki) Larnerd; one sister, Pauline (Sam) DeBellis; eight nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Betty (Robert "Pooky") Staub, and one nephew.

She was a graduate of Chenango Valley Jr.-Sr. High School.

She married an enlisted USAF serviceman and they traveled the world for his job before settling in Mountain Home, Idaho.

Her second marriage was to the love of her life, Gary Orme. In 2000, they relocated to Ortonville, Mich., to be near their children and grandchildren.

Over the years, she was employed at Grants, Kings, Hank and Jan's, and Elmore Medical Center.

She retired to stay home and love on her family full time.

She was an avid reader, enjoyed going to Curves and helped in the classroom at the Brandon Academy of Arts and Science.

Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, at Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd., Holly). Arrangements were entrusted to Coats Village Funeral Home-Ortonville.
