A pair of assisted living centers in Mountain Home are expected to expand their facilities for local residents after their project requests gained initial approval.

During a meeting June 2, the city planning and zoning commission voted in favor of a conditional use permit for the Cedar Crest assisted living facility along with a property lot split for The Cottages Assisted Living and Memory Care center.

The city council is expected to take a final vote on both requests during its public meeting June 23.
