Children's health fair set for Saturday

Children learn about the human digestive system as they walk through a supersized representation of the digestive tract during last year's health fair.

The annual Children's Health Fair, hosted by St. Luke's Elmore Center for Community Health, will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday on the hospital lawn, 895 N. 6th East St.

The outside venue for the Children's Health Fair offers interactive opportunities for kids, including an alpaca petting zoo, walk-through digestive tract, emergency vehicle displays, free eye and hearing screenings, and free popcorn and hot dogs.

The annual event provides parents and children with an opportunity to learn about health-related services and businesses available in Elmore County and the surrounding communities.
