Kathie Golightly

Kathleen "Kathie" Camille Golightly of Mountain Home, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2014.

Kathie was born in Tarentum, Penn., on March 1, 1945, to William Joseph Golightly and Edna (Montanya) Golightly. She was raised in Kokomo, Ind.

She moved to California to nanny for her older sister and her five children when she graduated from high school.

She worked at the Mendocino Coast Hospital in emergency room admitting for several years. Later she worked at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis as the administrative assistant to neurosurgeon Dr. Julius Goodman.

Kathie loved to work in her many flower gardens. Moving plants around constantly was her hobby, in fact, her gardens were constantly changing and were always beautiful.

She was an artist by heart, taking on painting and wreath making as a self-taught creator. Her work was always stunning.

She loved to be sassy and made more friends than she ever could have imagined, even her mailman loved her!

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, sister Jan Stephanie Golightly and infant daughter Christen Camille McNicol and her precious cat, Cache.

She is survived by her brother, William Jeffery (Louise) Golightly, sisters Barbara Yardley and Fabian Golightly, three children, Courtney Ireland, Judson (Renee') McNicol, and Ethan (Brittney) Crowell, and six granddaughters Ellianna (Elli), Malia, Brylee, Ariana, Alia and Isabella, her dog Chloe, and cats Fritz and Lucy and many nieces and nephews.

She will be inurned at Garrison Chapel Cemetery in Bloomington, Ind. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Idaho. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
