Man arrested after high speed chase

Wednesday, April 30, 2014

A Mountain Home man who led police on a high-speed chase that began in the city Tuesday about 12:30 p.m. and ended in the county has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault and felony eluding as a result of the incident.

The incident began after Mountain Home police attempted to serve a warrant on Maury Toy, 45. He led them on a chase in his 2009 Saturn SUV out N. 18th East Street to Beaman Road and back into the vicinity of Reservoir Road before he was stopped by a combination of city police that had given pursuit and sheriff's deputies that rushed to assist. During that chase officers reported several cases where Toy allegedly tried to strike law enforcement vehicles.
