John Thomas Frierson finished fifth in the triple jump.

Dallin Dearing placed seventh in the shot put, Joanathan Deese was eighth in the 200 meters and Andy Croft was eighth in the 3200 meters.

"No team scores have been provided yet from the Bishop Kelly Invitational," said Tigers track coach Rich Urquidi. "We had quite a few athletes improve their qualifying marks for district.

"Elisabeth Stephens had a PR of 28 seconds in the 3200 meters to win the event and qualify for district. Sable Lohmeier set the freshman shot put record of 35 feet, 1.25 inches to improve her district seeding, the coach said.

"Our athletes are improving each week and seem to be on track to start to hit their best times or distances just in time for the district meet," Urquidi added.

The Tigers go to Skyview High School on Friday for the Skyview Invitational.
