Talent show planned for Friday

Thursday, April 17, 2014

Representatives with Mountain Home High School's senior celebration committee will host a talent show Friday evening.

Open to people across the Mountain Home community, the event will begin at 6 p.m. that day at Lloyd Schiller Gymnasium.

Judges will award prizes to the top three acts, including a $100 first-place award.

Proceeds from the show will benefit the post-graduation party for the Class of 2014. Continuing a tradition hosted by the parents of each graduating class since 1984, the senior celebration offers what event organizers call an alcohol-free, drug-free, safe, sane and fun event.

Originally, organizers planned to host a day trip to the Lagoon amusement park in Salt Lake City. However, plans changed in recent weeks with the senior celebration group organizing a trip to the Big Al's family fun center in Meridian.

The senior celebration group invites parents to its upcoming meetings, held at 6 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month at the Mountain Home Junior High School library.

For more information on getting involved, call the high school at 587-2570.
