Tennis team falls

The Mountain Home Tigers' tennis teams dropped conference matches at Skyview and Nampa last week.

Skyview Girls 7, MH Girls 0

Skyview Boys 6, MH Boys 1

The Tigers traveled to Skyview last Monday and lost to the Hawks in both girls and boys matches.

In girls' singles, Heidi Rawlins lost the first singles match 0-6, 1-6. Karina Guadarrama lost the second match 0-6, 2-6, and Kiana Galloway lost the third match in a close one, 3-6, 6-7 (TB 4).

Katelyn McKenzie and Samantha Feekes lost the first doubles match 2-6, 2-6, and Kira Anderson and Rubi Martinez lost the second match 0-6, 5-7.

Mountain Home's only win came in the first boys' doubles match, when Brad Foreman and Hayden Draper won 6-2, 6-4. Jared Shaw and Mathew McLean lost the second doubles match 2-6, 1-6.

Austin Griswald dropped the first boys' singles match 4-6, 1-6. Marc Pelletier lost the 3 2 match 2-6, 1-6, and Toren Lombardo lost the third match in three sets 6-4, 2-6, 1-6.

Mountain Home lost both mixed doubles matches. Nathan Gibbons and Kaitlyn Stevens lost the first match 2-6, 0-6 and Dalton Barker and Monica Spinazzolo lost the second match 0-6, 1-6.

Nampa Girls 7, MH Girls 0

Nampa Boys 4, MH Boys 3

The Tiger tennis teams dropped a conference match at Nampa last Thursday. The girls lost 7-0. The boys dropped a close 4-3 match.

In girls' singles, Heidi Rawlins battled hard, but lost in three sets 3-6, 6-3, 6-7 (TB7). Karina Guadarrama and Kiana Galloway lost the second and third singles matches by 1-6, 1-6 scores. In girls' doubles, Mary Martin and Katelyn McKenzie lost the first doubles match 3-6, 2-6, and Emily Gillies and Kira Anderson lost the second match 1-6, 1-6.

In boys' singles, Timothy Austin and Austin Griswald won matches. Austin won the first singles match, 6-3, 3-6, 7-5, and Griswald won the second match in a modified three sets, 6-2, 6-7 (TB4) 11-9. Jared Shaw lost the third singles match 2-6, 0-6.

Brad Foreman and Hayden Draper won the first doubles match in three sets, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3. Nathan Gibbons and Marc Pelletier lost the second match 3-6, 1-6.

Nampa blanked Mountain Home in the mixed doubles matches, Nick Vogl and Kaitlyn Stevens losing the first match 0-6, 0-6, and Dalton Barker and Monica Spinazzolo dropping the second match by the same score.
