Clara B. Morris, 62, of Bruneau, passed away on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at a Boise hospital.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 2014, at the American Legion Hall in Bruneau. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.

Clara was born on June 25, 1951, to Charles and Laura (Kruft) Conner in Ottawa, Ill.

After moving to Bruneau, Clara became very involved with the town. She served as the Bruneau librarian and was an active member of the Bruneau Community Church, Bruneau Ladies Aid Society, Bruneau VFW Auxiliary, Bruneau Boosters, Snake River Detachment of the Marine Corps League, Owyhee County Historical Society and the NRA.

Clara is survived by her brothers, Frederick Conner of Ottawa, Ill. and Bruce and his wife, Mary Jo Conner, of Utica, Ill., sisters Alta and husband Paul Ringer of Ottawa, Ill., Barbara and husband Bruce Conner-Ramsey of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Dee Ann Thomas of N. Highlands, Calif., plus her special brother and sister, Mac and Linda McDowell, of Bruneau. She is also survived by her step-children, Gordon Morris, Jim Morris and Sherin Heese, plus several step-grandchildren.

Clara was preceded in death by both her parents, her husband, Richard R. Morris, her brother, Loren, and her sister, Colleen (Conner) Perkins.
