Karen Brescia, health occupations instructor at Mountain Home High School, helps senior Abigale Chavarria take a blood pressure reading on a mannequin during a career day event held March 12 in the school gym.

Representatives from various trade schools, military organizations and local businesses gathered at the high school to showcase various career opportunities during this year's event.

In addition, admissions officials from various colleges and universities were on hand to provide guidance to students on how to apply for grants, scholarships and other types of student financial aid.
