Track team places at meet

The Mountain Home girls and boys track teams both finished third in their first track meet of the season, a triangular meet at Bishop Kelly.

Bishop Kelly ran away with the girls competition, scoring 103 points. Skyview was second with 47 and Mountain Home had 36.

Alexandra Tatum had Mountain Home's lone first-place finish, winning the triple jump.

Tracey Gordon had second-place efforts in the 200-meter dash and the long jump. She finished fourth in the 100 meters.

Makena Shockley was second in the 100-meter high hurdles and fourth in the 300-meter hurdles.

Sable Lohmeier was second in the shot put and fourth in the discus.

Mattie Bennett finished second in the triple jump.

Mountain Home finished second in both the 4x100-meter and 4x200-meter relays. Kaitlin Whiteley, Whitney Sandberg, Mattie Bennett and Tracey Gordon made up the 4x100-meter relay team, and Whitney Sandberg, Mattie Bennett, Kristan Jackson and Jacci Cristobal made up the 4x200-meter relay.

Allyson Elms was third in the high jump. Fourth-place efforts also went to Kristan Jackson in the 400-meters and Whitney Sandberg in the 200-meter dash.

Bishop Kelly also won the boys competition, scoring 76 points. Skyview was a close second with 68.5 points and Mountain Home had 33.5 points.

Ryan Eckstrom finished second in the 110-meter high hurdles and pole vault. Devin Wright was second in the 300-meter hurdles and third in the 110-meter high hurdles.

Cody Boguslawski was second in the discus and fourth in the shot put. Jose Ortiz was second in the shot put.

Mountain Home finished second in both the 4x100- and 4x200-meter relays. Nick Garza, Chance Lewellyn, Jett Cristobal and Jake Ryan ran the 4x100-meter relay, while Nick Garza, AJ Daniels, Jake Ryan and Jett Cristobal made up the 4x200-meter relay team.

Eric Reetz placed third in the 300-meter hurdles, and Dallin Dearing was third in the discus. Fourth-place finishes went to Andy Croft in the 1600-meter run, Tristan Jammerman in the 110-meter high hurdles, and Luke Lockard tied for fourth in the pole vault.

The Tigers host a meet with Nampa, Caldwell and Canyon Ridge Thursday, March 20, at Tiger Field.
