Thomas FitzGerald

Thomas Vincent FitzGerald, 90, of Glenns Ferry, passed away at his home on Friday, Nov. 15, 2013.

A viewing will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Friday, Nov. 22, at Rost Funeral Home. Burial will be held at 1 p.m. at Glenn Rest Cemetery in Glenns Ferry.

Thomas was born on June 16, 1923, in Far Rockaway, N.Y., the son of Edward and Winifred FitzGerald. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served during World War II.

After the military, Thomas worked making billboard signs and working on furnaces.

Thomas married Margarete on Jan. 15, 1978. They made their home in Marietta, Ga., Gooding and Glenns Ferry. Margarete passed away on Aug. 27, 2006.

Thomas was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Mountain Home.

He also enjoyed fishing, some bird hunting and playing golf.

Thomas is survived by his son, John T. FitzGerald, stepchildren Raymond Binion, of California, Doris and her husband, David Jetton, of Glenns Ferry, Sandra Binion, of New Hampshire, Linda Seay of Connecticut, and a his sister, Mary Lusier, of Florida.

He was preceded in death by both his parents, his wife, Margarete, one son and two brothers.
