Henry Hibbert

Henry E. Hibbert, 68, of Glenns Ferry, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at his home, following an illness.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov.14, at the Glenns Ferry VFW Hall. Inurnment will follow at Glenn Rest Cemetery in Glenns Ferry. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.

Henry was born on July 26, 1945, in Bristol, Pa., to William and Elsa Hibbert. He graduated from high school in 1964 and joined the U.S. Air Force.

Henry met and married Loretta Summers in Anchorage, Alaska, in 1965.

He retired from the Air Force in December of 1984.

Henry enjoyed collecting, which he learned from his father. He also enjoyed playing cards at the Mountain Home Senior Center. He was a member of the VFW in Glenns Ferry.

Henry is survived by his wife, Loretta, son Richard Hibbert, daughters Deanna Jennings, Jennifer Adams, Michelle Hibbert and Kristin Askins and their spouses, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter.
