The Mountain Home Lady Tigers closed out their regular season soccer schedule with losses to Emmett and Kuna.

Emmett 5, Mountain Home 1

The Mountain Home Lady Tigers dropped a 5-1 conference girls soccer game to Emmett last Tuesday at Eastside Park in Mountain Home.

"We played -- there's no real way to sugar coat it -- a horrible game," said Mountain Home girls soccer coach Ken Ogaard of the Emmett game. "We should have beaten them by that much, if not more, but we just weren't ready to play."

Hannah Modde scored Mountain Home's lone goal. Missy Jessup returned from her injury to play a half at goalkeeper, getting 13 saves. C.J. Bish played the second half as keeper and had 10 saves on goal.

Kuna 5, Mountain Home 0

Mountain Home battled Kuna tough Thursday at Kuna, losing to the Lady Kavemen 5-0.

The game was scoreless until late in the first half, when Kuna scored two quick goals. They were able to add three goals in the second half for a 5-0 win.

Missy Jessup had 15 saves on goal for Mountain Home, which was unable to get any shots on goal against Kuna.

"That's the best we've played Kuna for as long as I can remember," said Coach Ogaard.

Mountain Home opened District III 4A girls soccer tournament action Monday at Bishop Kelly against the top-seeded Lady Knights.
