Freddie Moore, 61, of Mountain Home, lost his courageous battle with cancer and went home to his Heavenly Father on Oct. 6, 2013, surrounded by loved ones.

Graveside service will be held at a later date. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Fred attended Mountain Home High School where he loved to play sports. He participated in basketball and track and field.

He worked at Smithkline Laboratories for over 10 years in Van Nuys, Calif., and later was a Corrections Officer with the Idaho Department of Corrections, in Boise. Lastly, he was an assistant supervisor at Sequel (Three Springs), a job he really loved.

He attended "Valley College of Medical and Dental Careers," where he earned his Respiratory Therapy Certification.

Fred was an avid collector of all types of music and especially loved jazz.

He also enjoyed fishing and outdoor activities and spending time with friends and family.

Fred is survived by daughters Tiffany Nichelle Moore of Mountain Home and Tara Shaunice Moore, and his granddaughter, Jazzmine Moore, both of Boise, stepsons Lawrence (Lowe) and Larry Jones, and step-grandchildren Leilah and Aiden Jones of California, and loving sister and caretaker who will miss him dearly, Priscilla (Moore) McCutcheon and husband Danny McCutcheon, of Mountain Home, special friends Carrie Evans and Carolyn Boynton, his former wife and beloved best friend and mother of his children, Linda Wright-Moore, of Boise, and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Rosella Moore, and sister Sylvia Moore.

The family requests donations be made to Home Federal Bank, 400 N. 3rd East St., Mountain Home, ID 83647, or any branch. The account name is "For the benefit of Fred Moore." Donations will be put into a fund to help with the funeral costs.
