In this week's up-close look at the Mountain Home Tigers boys soccer team, we look at two more members of the 2013 Tiger boys soccer team.

John Rooney

John Rooney is a junior defender on the Tigers squad. He is the son of Luann and Dennis Rooney.

He thinks the season has been great, but can get better, saying the team needs "to work on some stuff, but once we get a mindset, we're unstoppable."

Having an extended postseason is utmost on Rooney's mind.

"We're trying as hard as we can. We're going to play to the greatest ability we can and just keep trying to win and doing our hardest."

Victor Sanchez Martinez

Victor Sanchez Martinez is a sophomore on the Tigers. The wing-man is the son of Sanjuana and Juan Sanchez.

"We're playing our hearts out," said Victor about this year's Tiger boys soccer team. "We all have a passion for soccer and that's what's bringing us together, as we love the sport."

Victor and his other team members will not be happy if the Tigers do not make state.

"That's our goal this year, to make it to state, and hopefully, we win district this year."
