Brad Michael Davis died peacefully in his sleep Aug. 30, 2013, in Boise.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

He was born to Gene and Shirley Davis on June 15, 1952, in Merced, Calif.

He graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1971 and briefly attended Boise State College.

He served two years in the United States Army, stationed primarily in Hawaii.

After returning to Boise, Brad worked for the Boise School District, DeBest Plumbing and Peterbilt, where he enjoyed cooking for his co-workers.

Brad married Sandra Brooks on Dec. 8, 2006.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, including two grandchildren in Boise, and treated his wife's family as his own.

He spent many fall mornings hunting with this father, Gene, and his brothers.

He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed BSU football and traveling to bowl games.

He is survived by: his wife, Sandra Davis, of Boise; two brothers, Steve, of Twin Falls, and Paul, of Salem, Ore.; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Gene and Shirley Davis, of Mountain Home.

Brad's kind, generous spirit will be missed by all.
