Local grad to headline public concert

The Concert in the Park series wraps up this summer on Friday with a performance by Thomas Hutchings and Anomaly. Hutchings is a graduate from Mountain Home High School.

Thomas Hutchings and Anomaly will take the stage Friday for the final performance of the summer Concert in the Park series.

The free concert will take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Aug. 2, at Carl Miller Park.

Those attending are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets to the event, which is jointly sponsored by the city parks and recreation department and the Mountain Home Arts Council.

Concessions are available.

Thomas Hutchings and his group, Anomaly, "will be sharing their version of experimental and funky improvisations on standard jazz tunes with pianist, Paul Tillotson, a Boise and New York jazz favorite, whose mission is to play great improvised music, deeply touching the souls of audiences around the world, spreading the joy that is created while creating music that comes from love," an arts council spokesperson said.

Hutchings is a popular New York City saxophonist and producer that grew up in Mountain Home.

He performs and collaborates with artists at events and venues all over the world.

His music productions have been on TV ("Keeping Up With The Kardashians," "Bad Girls Club," and "Real World: Las Vegas").

Joining Thomas Hutchings and Anomaly will be a special guest, Grammy nominee Linda Chorney.
