Melanie Joyce Brown, 30, from Mountain Home Air Force Base, passed away on July 26, 2013, at a Boise hospital.

Services will be held this Wednesday, July 31, with a viewing from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service held at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Burial will be held Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Haughton, La.

Melanie was born July 29, 1982, in Bossier City, La., the daughter of Ricky and Jerrie Glashow. She attended Haughton High School and graduated from Louisiana State University-Shreveport.

Melanie was a loving wife and mother of two beautiful girls.

She worked with Community Partnership of Idaho.

Her heart of gold touched the lives of anyone that was privileged enough to cross her path.

Melanie is survived by husband Luke Brown, daughters Katelyn and Emmalee, of Mountain Home AFB, her father, Ricky Glasgow, sister Megan and her husband, Joe Wade, grandfather Quinton Glassgow, all of Haughton, La., her mother, Jerrie Sewell, stepfather Kenny Sewell, brother Chance Glassgow of Mooringsport, La., Mike and Laurie Brown Jacksonville, Fla., sister-in-law Tiffany and Bret Jeffries of Greenwood, Neb., and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Melanie leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. Her smile and compassion will be truly missed by everyone that knew her.
